The IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter is excited to announce the Spring 2020 NCIDQ Study Sessions for the Seattle City Center!

About the Event
Led by NCIDQ Certified Designers who have passed their exams within the last 3 years, these study sessions will help participants prepare for each section of the exam through group discussion, small activities, quizzes and practice tests.
If you are taking the NCIDQ examination this Spring, take advantage of this amazing program that will help you face the daunting task of studying with support from your peers and mentors. Sign up for each section of the exam separately, not required to sign up for all 3.
Listed below are the study session descriptions for the IDFX, IDPX, and Praticum Workshop. Study material for each session is related to the Interior Design Reference Manual, Sixth Edition by David Kent Ballast. Additional materials have been recommended by the CIDQ (Practice tests and notecards) and we encourage the use of Q Practice to supplement depending on your study techniques and needs.
IDFX Study Sessions - occur on Tuesdays
The Interior Design Fundamentals Exam is Part I of the NCIDQ Exam. Topics will be reviewed as follows.
- Week1, Jan 21: Design Communication + Human Behavior/Design Environment Week 2, Jan 28: Building Systems and Construction, FF&E and Lighting +Programming and Site Analysis Week 3, Feb 4: Technical Drawing Conventions + Construction Drawings/Specs
IDPX Study Sessions - occur on Tuesdays
The Interior Design Professional Exam is Part II of the NCIDQ Exam. Topics will be reviewed as follows.
- Week 1, Feb 18: Professional and Business Practice, Project Coordination, Product and Material Coordination Week 2, Feb 25: Building Systems and Integration and Contract Documents Week 3, March 3:Codes and Standards + Contract Administration
Practicum Sessions & Practice Test Workshop
The Practicum is Part III of the NCIDQ Exam. The Practicum session will be administered in the following parts.
- Week 1, MONDAY March 16: Navigating the PRAC 2.0/ Exam Overview, Tips from Experience, How to use Exam Blueprint and Reference Codes and more! Week 2, March 21: SATURDAY 4.5HR Practice Test Week 3, Tuesday, March 24: Review and Discuss PRAC2.0 Practice test & Follow supportive information
