Virtual Project Tour (Seattle): Hulu

On this virtual tour, we'll explore this project from concept to completion, reviewing the overall scope of work, the design goals and design development. We'll also see a video walk through of the space after it was completed. This tour will be lead by the JPC design team as well as representatives from Hulu.

Team, culture, growth, and visibility - these principals are the driving force behind the design of Hulu’s space. The concept was influenced by the desire to provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for the Seattle team while also being rooted in ultimate flexibility - from the high level space organization across three floors down to the custom workstations that easily allow the users to adapt the space to suit their team. Headquartered in Santa Monica, Hulu embarked on a complete reimagining of their workplace, and being the first in line, the Seattle office will serve as a prototype for current and future distributed offices across the company.

Hulu’s number one priority is their team; they are a group that is close-knit, dedicated, and passionate about their work and celebrating their unique culture. The tight and cohesive team dynamic is amplified through a diversity of spaces that support organic gathering and all-day activation. The design reflects the locale through texture, light, and materials that are welcoming, casual, inspiring, and convey a strong sense of brand that highlights the products and services they represent every day. The space revolves around their commitment to Seattle through the use of large-scale curated graphics highlighting iconic PNW sites throughout the space.

The new office is a place that can be leveraged to support their effort to inspire, attract, and retain top talent, and be a place that physically shows what we already know – that Hulu is a fun, innovative, and exciting place to be!
