Local Student Design Charette - NPC Qualifier

The annual Design Charette is an amazing opportunity for students to showcase their abilities and learn new ways to collaborate with a team in a one-day design challenge. This year the Northern Pacific Chapter qualifier will be held in-person, with teams composed of students from different schools and years, coming together to work toward one solution.

This year's competition will be back to basics. Students will be putting pen to paper using trace and hand drafting to showcase their design thinking. Presentations will be done on physical boards, and each team will present their solution to a jury of esteemed designers, architects, and industry leaders.

Please bring your favorite drawing and rendering materials to the event. We will provide the boards, trace, pins, and magazines to assist the process.

The winning team will receive a cash prize and a chance to win a trip to NeoCon to compete in June 2024 in Chicago!

This event is open to all students, including non-members. If non-IIDA members are on the winning team and advance, they will be required to become a student member.
