About the Event
Please join architect Steven Holl and The Civita Institute for a special online event: “Architectural Origins, from Puget Sound to Italy.”
This virtual event, hosted by the nonprofit Civita Institute, will be held on October 7, at 6 pm Pacific Time.
Steven Holl will share personal images, photographs and reflections from growing up in the Pacific Northwest, to his pivotal early education and explorations in Rome with UW Architecture Professor Astra Zarina and others, with thoughts on his significant collaborations and connections with architects, artists and thinkers in Italy over the years.
This collection of images and narration is being prepared by Steven Holl especially for this singular Civita Institute virtual event and will be recorded in his studio in the Hudson Valley in late September 2021. For more information on admission and sponsorship opportunities please see the Civita Institute event information here: https://tinyurl.com/CivitaInstitute
If you or someone you know is an admirer of Steven Holl’s work and are curious about how his time in Civita, Rome, and Italy influenced his work, please consider attending.
