Responsibilities:

  • Participate and lead interior design efforts on all project types.

  • Foster a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire project team.

  • Possess strong conceptualization skills that are used for team development of design solutions.

  • Develop space plans and programming documentation with project teams.

  • Prepare fee proposals including work plans identifying scope.

  • Manage interior aspects of project construction budgets.

  • Participate in the preparation of design and construction documents and advise on detailed solutions to interior architectural problems.

  • Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities.

  • Provide professional development coaching and staff mentoring.

  • Interface with owners, contractors, and consultants.

  • Organize and prioritize own work efforts as well as assist with organizing team members, tasks, and meetings.

  • Develop and manage FFE aspects on all projects.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Interior Designer or Licensed Architect with 15+ years of experience in a firm focusing on similar market sectors.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or comparable field.

  • LEED certification is desirable as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design, awareness of the WELL standard.

  • Proficient with finish material selection and specification as well as all aspects related to the documentation and detailing of interior architectural elements. 

  • Proficient with aspects related to FFE package delivery and budgeting tasks.

  • Knowledge of building codes and building systems.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Clark | Barnes is recruiting new team members for its rapidly expanding project portfolio. We are currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer. The designer will collaborate with senior design staff to provide high quality design solutions in all aspects of a project from initial concepts through construction documentation, construction administration, furnishings and accessory installation. This role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to details and the ability to respond quickly and tactfully to requests with a positive attitude. Multi-family, hospitality, commercial and retail project experience is especially desirable. Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. 

  • Ten years plus of experience in an architectural/design office.  

  • A strong portfolio of work demonstrating creative design concepts

  • Working knowledge of ADA guidelines, basic building code and construction methods.

  • Experience in developing and preparing presentations, design drawings, construction documents, furniture specifications and construction administration.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, hand sketching.

  • Experience with Inscape or other rendering programs

  • A team player that’s highly motivated, a self-starter, detail oriented, with good verbal communication skills.

SUMMARY:  Responsible for the selling, promoting and specifying of Florida Tile, Cotto d’Este and Ecoscape products to Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, and National Accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work from a home office and travel throughout the region in order to exceed sales and sales mix budgets while maintaining margin within agreed parameters. 

  • Participate in Budget process.

  • Prospect, qualify and develop relationships through effective time management with Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, National Accounts and other channels with the primary goal of specifying our products in their projects and follow up throughout the various steps of the construction process, to make sure the specification is maintained until the order is placed and the project is installed and completed.

  • Majority of activities will be independent of distributor’s activities. Collaborate with Regional Manager/Director, Director of Commercial and Vice President of Sales to coordinate efforts as required.

  • Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using the proper tools to clarify information.

  • Respond to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable representative with quick follow-up.

  • Assess competitors, their product lines and strategies informing stakeholders.

  • Assist with product field complaints as necessary.

  • Participate in industry associations and activities, i.e. ASID, IIDA, and NEWH.

  • Utilize software to document project specification and all sales related activities.
