ReGeneration Speaker Series: The Practice of Change
Announcing ReGeneration's final of four collaborative conversations with local sustainability experts. All events are held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Conversation Cocktail at South Lake Union Grill from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
MATTHEW FREEMAN-GLEASON, Founder & Chief Knowledge Officer, ecoHAUS will share this session two associates to discuss "The Practice of Change." Matthew Freeman-Gleason founded Environmental Home Center in 1991 which eventually evolved into ecoHAUS. Matt continues to provide vision with his knowledge base and context; other areas of focus include training, product development, and identification and monitoring of sustainability issues expansive background and industry experience, providing top-quality, truly green products along with candid, credible information. Prior to founding the company, Matt worked professionally as a carpenter and builder on both houses and wooden boats. His lifelong avocation has been the natural environment.
BRAD LILJEQUIST, AICP, LEED-AP, City of Issaquah, zHome Project Manager Brad Liljequist is an urban planner and sustainable building advisor with 20 years’ experience in fostering innovation in achieving a sustainable built environment. Brad has an extensive background in both the public and private sectors, and has successfully managed other change-accelerating programs. In 2006 he joined the City to manage zHome. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University, and has a Master’s in Environmental Policy from the UW Evans School.
Doug and Matt Howland of HOWLAND HOMES are urban core builders with the first multifamily net-zero energy housing project in the U.S. Creating a carbon neutral community in the City of Issaquah, Zhomes shows a common sense approach to cutting edge green design.
