Phil has worked as an interior designer in the Seattle market for 21 years. The projects he has worked on range from small T.I. projects to complex multi-building campuses. His current role is Architectural & Design Manager for Knoll, Inc.

Over the course of his career, Spencer has worked for firms varying in size from small one- and two-person operations to four of the 10 largest firms in the country. Spencer has an emphasis on corporate workplace design, but also has experience with public works, residential, and hospitality projects. In addition to his work experience, he also has six years experience as a design educator. In this role Spencer was responsible for curriculum development and preparation for the CIDA accreditation process in addition to his teaching and advising responsibilities.
“My goal as president is to increase the value of membership to all members regardless of the size or type of firm where they are employed. He will also concentrate efforts on extending our reach beyond the interior design community and explaining to the public why they should look for qualified designer affiliated with IIDA.”

Immediate Past PresidentIn her 13 years in the industry Dawn has made it a priority to become well versed in all phases of the design process and has lead many projects from their beginning, conceptual phases through to their completion of construction. With a primary focus on the corporate market she has also been involved in a handful of projects in the retail and healthcare market segments.

One year after graduating from Cornish College of Arts, Jamie is pushing and advocating to make our Chapter’s Campus Center even more successful and accessible to all interior design students across our participating states. She served on the Campus Center student board as Marketing Director to pioneer ways to reach out to campuses, then went on the be the Campus Center Director for the past year.
“My goal is to reach out to every student possible, visit campuses and keep all schools connected to our ever-evolving design community in order to enrich and enliven the students who will soon be joining us in our professional industry.”

VP of CommunicationsThe son of a contractor, Dru has been in the building industry all his life. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Art and Business. He currently represents BiNW, the largest Herman Miller dealership in the Puget Sound area, as the A & D Manager. He has represented a national manufacturer, worked as a Project Manager for a local design firm and operated a residential design practice. His combined experience allows him to serve as the client advocate and a resource to execute highly specialized building environments in corporate, government, educational and healthcare environments.
“As VP of Communications, I plan to support our chapter’s mission in Education, Advocacy and Outreach through the following: Launch a new website that is more interactive, easily updated, cost-effective and relevant to today’s’ technology. Implement new methods for designers to connect and learn. Promote our chapter through a higher awareness of what we do and what it means to be a member of IIDA both in our chapter and throughout the organization. Lastly, I want to further develop our chapter’s image through a creative, compelling and current graphics program.”

His professional work includes experience in all areas of commercial and public facilities, including corporate headquarters, city halls, public assembly facilities and financial institutions.

Gloria is a Montana native and graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She has spent her working career in 3 different states and now makes her home in Spokane, WA. Her love for interior design has been nurtured with 15 years of project experience in corporate, healthcare, religious, and educational projects.
“As I continue my role as Director, I will work toward getting more designers in the area interested in participating in our City Center, to educate and recruit those who don’t know about IIDA, and to bring more events to the area for our current members.”

A graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, Ashley has been with NBBJ for 2 years, working first as an intern in the commercial studio and then as a designer in the corporate studio. Ashley has been involved with IIDA – NPC Campus Center for over three years serving as board Treasurer in ’07-’08 and the Scholarship and mentorship Chair in ’08-’09.
“I look forward to a continued role in IIDA-NPC Campus Center. I hope to integrate a year-long mentorship program for Campus Center Student Board members and I am dedicated to further develop the relationship between “professional” and “student” with the intent to inspire and foster this generation’s new design leaders.”

Michelle relocated to Washington State from Pasadena, California to attend Washington State University in 1994. After graduation she was hired at Wolfe Architectural Group where she continues to work today. She currently resides in Spokane with her husband Nickalo.
