Green Lease for the Commercial Office

Date:
Thu, 11/05/2009 - 7:30am - 9:00am
Location:
Commercial Office Interiors 2601 4th Avenue, 7th Floor Seattle WA 98121

Incorporating environmental goals and standards into a lease can seem overwhelming. However, we live in a region and a time where more and more landlords are open to negotiating green lease criteria with tenants. Increasingly, tenants are also realizing that green initiatives (and a greener space) are important to their staff and are vocalizing these needs to prospective landlords.

Join us in a dialogue with a panel of local experts where we’ll uncover answers to the following questions:
·         Are landlords willing to negotiate more in this economic climate?
·         How do I assist my client with driving their interest in a greener building?
·         How are brokers guiding tenants towards greener spaces?
·         What are the incentives to the tenant and the landlord to green a lease?

To include a developer, lawyer, broker, and tenant

What's new in the Hospitality Industry?

Welcome to the Hospitality Forum!  We have created this forum to inform the Northern Pacific Chaper of what is new in the Hospitality Industry.  We will be posting new products that are being launched, new projects that are completed, and also holding discussions and tours of Hospitality Interiors.  We are setting up our first meeting, and will post the information as soon as possible.

In the mean time, is there anything that you all would like to see accomplished this next year with this forum?  Any suggestions?  Please let us know!

Jeff Miller, Principal, Interior Architects

As member of IIDA, in addition to all the direct and indirect benefits you get from being involved in educational opportunities, networking and sharing your experiences with friends and colleagues, you have a real opportunity to participate in advancing the profession as a whole. The sense of accomplishment makes membership and, more importantly active participation, very rewarding and a LOT of fun.

Providence Health & Services - Callison

Project Description:

Callison designed the 135,500 square foot office for Providence Heath & Services to have a classic and timeless design.  The open floor plan has no hard-wall offices exceptf for six exectutive offices and elliptical-shaped work/break rooms.  The shape of the work/break rooms is intented to give relief to the rectilinear building architecture.

The LEED gold headquarters, which open last year, maximizes daylight while providing a flexible work environment that can be expanded as needs evolve.  The project has colorful wayfinding elements and a state-of-the-art conference center.
